Contributor journey

  1. Read the README and privacy model so local-first constraints stay clear.
  2. Browse open issues or propose a focused improvement.
  3. Follow CONTRIBUTING guidance for setup, branches, and pull requests.
  4. When changing UI copy, update English catalogs under apps/web/src/i18n/locales/en/ (other locales fall back until translated).
  5. Keep document processing local — do not introduce upload backends or auth unless the project explicitly asks for that work.
