Desktop: stronger local capacity ahead
A LocalDocu desktop app for heavier local workloads and LocalDocu AI is in progress. Until it ships, the free web workspace is the product.
We are actively building a LocalDocu desktop application for advanced local document automation — especially workloads that exceed comfortable browser limits — and as the home for LocalDocu AI. This is work in progress (WIP). We would love to release it soon with contributions from the open community.
What we are building
- Stronger local resources for large or complex jobs
- Same local-first privacy principles as the web app
- LocalDocu AI: intent understanding that drives LocalDocu document-management capabilities using document metadata
- Windows-first targets under consideration in the product roadmap
Use the web workspace today while we build toward launch. Desktop-only features and LocalDocu AI are not in the current browser release yet — community contributions are welcome.
